Across 218 farms located between Paraná and Santa Catarina, 35,000 hectares thrive under the company's watchful care, where nature takes center stage: 60% of this area is preserved as native forest and APP (Permanent Preservation Areas). Each year, about 2 million seedlings come to life in this fertile soil, reaffirming a continuous cycle of respect, regeneration, and harmony between production and preservation.
Sincol uses wood from its own managed and certified forests, and beyond vast reforestation efforts, the extensive areas of native forest and preserved watercourses ensure the maintenance of original biodiversity. This environmental commitment is supported by short, medium, and long-term forest planning, which ensures the continuous supply of wood without compromising ecosystems.

Furthermore, the nursery's irrigation system uses water from the surplus of the boiler's reverse osmosis process. Instead of being discarded, this water is responsibly repurposed to hydrate the seedlings, reinforcing our commitment to the conscious use of natural resources and sustainability at every stage of production.

This commitment translates into a continuous search for the improvement of its processes in the forestry sector, focusing on the conservation of natural resources, the promotion of social justice, and the development of the communities where they operate.
The Sincol Group commits to:
– Obey the Principles and Criteria of the FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council®, which are nationally and internationally accepted;
– Respect national sovereignty, as well as the laws, agreements, and international treaties granted by the country;
– Maintain all land tenure and use documents, as well as forest resource documents, in accordance with national legislation;
– Always aim to improve the quality of life of its workers and the local community;
– Safeguard its remnants of native forests present in the certified areas, aiming for the conservation of natural resources, as well as the preservation of native fauna and flora;
– Not convert natural forests into forest plantations of exotic species;
– Maintain areas of ecological and landscape interest (waterfalls, caves, canyons) present in its areas for future generations;
– Manage its forest plantations in an environmentally, socially, and economically responsible manner;
– Promote the efficient, economic, and optimized use of its forests;
– Recover, according to previous planning, degraded areas and Permanent Preservation Areas;
– Encourage the multiple use of its areas, always respecting environmental responsibility and biodiversity.
Sincol monitors and controls most of its activities and operations, with the objective of recording the processes carried out, identifying failures, and promoting continuous improvements.
This monitoring covers the environmental, forestry, and social aspects of the Forest Management Company (EMF), ensuring the maintenance of the commitments assumed with the FSC®.
The data obtained are periodically analyzed and integrated into the Annual Review of the Management Plan, contributing to the refinement of the company's practices.
Social monitoring is conducted by the Human Resources Department and Occupational Safety, through the Social Development Program. This program establishes a formal channel for dialogue and monitors the social conditions of the forestry villages and neighboring communities, proposing improvements based on the results obtained.
In alignment with its conservationist policy and FSC® requirements, Sincol hired specialists to assess the environmental status of the native fragments on its farms. The fauna and flora analyses compose the Ecosystem Conservation Subprogram, an integral part of the Environmental Management Program.
Thematic maps illustrate the use of Forest Management Units (UMFs) and the connectivity between the preserved fragments. The company maintains an ongoing evaluation of these areas, allowing for future comparisons and the monitoring of progress achieved with conservation and environmental recovery practices.

Sincol prioritizes the use of wood originating from its own management areas, including certified and uncertified forests under its responsibility.
Eventually, a small portion of the wood used is acquired from external suppliers. In these cases, the company ensures that such raw materials do not originate from controversial sources, meaning they do not derive from areas where:
a) a) illegal logging has occurred;
b) b) logging has involved the violation of traditional and civil rights;

Sincol, through its supply policy, reaffirms its commitment to exert its best efforts to guarantee that all wood used in its production processes originates exclusively from acceptable sources according to the criteria established by the FSC®.
The Sincol Group exclusively uses energy from clean, 100% renewable, and environmentally sustainable sources. For nearly two decades, the company's entire electricity consumption has been supplied by power plants classified as incentivized sources, including wind, solar, biomass, SHP (Small Hydroelectric Plants), and GHG (Hydroelectric Generating Plants).
To promote sustainable management of raw materials and prevent waste, the Sincol Group established a pellet production unit.
These pellets are manufactured from reforestation pine, which comes from the residues generated during the production process of its door factory.
By using these wood leftovers for pellet production, Sincol not only maximizes resource efficiency but also contributes to waste reduction and the circular economy. This approach minimizes environmental impact, supports responsible forest management, and promotes a more efficient utilization of available natural resources.
Furthermore, the pellets produced by Sincol are certified by the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and ENplus® A1 seals, which guarantee the responsible origin of the raw material and the high quality of the product.
Recycling:
The Sincol Group develops an internal recycling program focusing on the correct separation of waste such as paper, plastic, cardboard, metal, and glass. All company sectors are equipped with selective bins, and employees receive periodic guidance on proper disposal practices.
Recyclable materials are systematically collected and sent to licensed partner companies, ensuring environmentally correct disposal and compliance with current legislation.

Water Bottles:
Each employee of the Sincol Group receives a reusable water bottle for daily use, as part of our commitment to well-being in the workplace. In addition to encouraging regular water consumption, the initiative contributed significantly to waste reduction: In less than five months, we managed to reduce the consumption of disposable plastic cups in our units by 80%, a direct result of the adoption of individual reusable bottles. This achievement represents not only a resource saving but also a concrete step forward in reducing solid waste generated internally. The action reinforces the Sincol Group's commitment to sustainable practices, aligned with environmental preservation and the building of a more conscious and engaged organizational culture.
Rainwater:
The Sincol Group also adopts sustainable practices in the use of water resources. Part of the captured rainwater is stored and used in the process of washing vehicles and machinery within the industrial park. This initiative contributes to the reduction of drinking water consumption and promotes the rational use of natural resources.
